User Experience or UX Topic 11 Design Testing With Users
Concept is generally the world used to describe an abstract idea, such as happiness, collaboration, or efficiency. In the field of UX Design, concept is also used to refer/mengacu to design elements that are meant to represent one or more abstract ideas to the project team or a potential user.
A Conceptual design element can be visual/it can be text-based. Concept can also mean the exploration of :

- visual design mock-ups,
- or rough prototype/kasar.
Concept exploration typically happens early in the design process, after you've defined your user groups but before you've gotten into detail of each pages/screen. It Consist of :
- one on one discussions/
- in a group but include some individual activities aimed at gathering and discussing a variety of viewpoints.
Usability testing is one of the most frequently used ux design testing methods. Common steps involved :
- Planning the research
- Recruiting and logistics
- Writing discussion guides
- Facilitating
- Analyzing and presenting results
- Creating recommendations
Planning the research : (should outline)
- why are you testing?
- who are you testing?
- what are you testing?
- what information are you gathering?
Recruiting and logistics : look for sources that provide names such as : cust. contact information, registered users of a related companysite, etc...
Writing discussion guides : you'll need to assemble the materials you need for the test itself.
Facilitating : the job is to introduce the participant to the process, answer their questions then glean/ mengumpulkan wawasan/insights.
Analyzing and presenting result : prioritizing :
- Rasional cause
- Frequency of occurrence / kejadian
- Recoverability/pemulihan
- Consequences
Creating Recommendations :
- A good recommendation should :
- Resolve/ menyelesaikan more than 1 issue, if possible.
- Don't uderplay issues (meremehkan)
- Remember that recommendations need to be targeted to their end users just as much as the system does.
